Disbudding: Timing is important for a successful result with no scurs or horn regrowth. Goat horn buds come in at various times but on average I like to disbud most goats at 3-10 days old. Generally for Dwarf breeds, males can be done at 5 days and females at 9 days, but it varies. It's ideally done when you can feel a TINY bit of bud growth. It is less stressful for it to be done earlier versus later. I use ice packs to cool, antibiotic ointment, pop caps and do a figure 8 for boys.
I highly suggest that the dam be vaccinated with CD&T within a month of kidding and that kids be on a vaccination schedule.
Please message to make an appointment for you to bring your goat to me. I do give discounts if several goats are done at once.
REVIEWS
"Sophie did an awesome job disbudding my two baby goats! She is very knowledgeable, explains her process and approaches each goat with care. I had previously used a vet and got bad scurs but from now on I’ll use Sophie because she did a better job than my vet and she even followed up the next day to check and see how my babies were doing."

"I was really stressing about getting my Nigerian baby goat disbudded so I asked around and Sophie came highly recommended. She is wonderful, kindhearted and professional and she knows what she is doing. My goat did great, and I feel lucky to have her taking care of my baby."
